Odoo partners, twenty client databases and no devops engineer

Every partner runs the same sum eventually. Managed hosting against hiring someone to run servers. Self hosting looks cheaper right up to the point where it is a salary, a rota, and one person who cannot take a holiday in peace.

Every client, one login

Shoovels takes that second half. Your repository, your code, your Odoo versions, your deploy cadence, your relationship with the client. Certificates, backups, restores, patching and capacity stop being yours.

The sum only works if the platform replaces the person and not just the servers. Nobody has to be on call for a disk filling up on a Sunday, and nobody has to be the one who remembers how the staging box was put together.

One login, every client

Each client has their own Shoovels organization, and they invite you into the projects you work on. You keep the same login for all of them, so you move between twenty databases without juggling credentials or keeping a password file.

Getting in is one step. The client invites your email address to the project and chooses what you can do there: Viewer, User or Admin. You accept, and the project appears in your list.

Access is set per project. A consultant is invited to the clients they actually work on, and sees nothing else.

Your client keeps the keys

The organization is theirs. They pay for their own hosting, they decide the resources, and they decide whether to cancel. None of that passes through you, and none of it depends on you still being in the picture.

Clients usually ask about this before letting anyone into their systems, and it's a simple answer: it's theirs, you're a guest.

It works both ways. If the relationship ends, they remove your access and everything stays where it is. Nothing of theirs is stuck with you, and nothing of theirs leaves with you.

Everything you do is on their record

Every action you take is written to their project's audit log: who acted, what changed and when. They can read it themselves at any time.

It's often the first thing a client asks once they realise you can log in as their users. It protects you too: what you did, and didn't do, is written down.

SHOOVELS

Your Odoo, hosted by the team that runs it. A platform by much. Consulting.
